Batch Video Compression Guide

When you have dozens or hundreds of videos to compress, doing them one at a time is tedious. Batch compression saves time and ensures consistent settings across all videos. While our browser-based tool processes one video at a time (due to browser memory limits), you can achieve batch-like efficiency with the right workflow.

For batch compression: 1) Prepare all videos in one folder. 2) Use the same compression settings for all videos (e.g., 'Best Balance' preset). 3) Process videos one by one, downloading each compressed file before starting the next. 4) Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up the process. 5) Consider using our Auto mode with a target file size for consistent results.

For batch compression, use consistent settings across all videos. The 'Best Balance' preset (CRF 26, original resolution) is recommended for most batches. If you need specific file sizes, use Auto mode with the same target size for all videos. This ensures consistent quality and size reduction across your entire batch.

For large video collections (100+ videos), consider: organizing videos into folders by date or category, using consistent naming conventions, compressing in batches of 10-20 videos, and backing up originals before compression.
