VideoReducer.com is a free, browser-based video compression tool that allows users to reduce video file sizes directly in their web browser using WebAssembly technology. All video processing occurs locally on the user's device — no video files are uploaded to our servers.

We may offer premium subscription plans in the future with additional features. Any paid features will be clearly marked, and separate terms may apply to subscriptions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Compress, process, or distribute video content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service in a way that exceeds normal human usage patterns
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other malicious code to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers hosting the Service

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by VideoReducer.com and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain all rights to the video files you process using the Service. Since all processing occurs locally in your browser, we never have access to your video files.

5. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Since all video compression happens in your browser, your video files never leave your device. Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle anonymous usage analytics and other data.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate
• Any defects will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk. We are not responsible for any data loss or damage to your device resulting from the use of the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VideoReducer.com and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

• Loss of profits, data, or use
• Business interruption
• Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

If we offer paid subscription plans, the following terms apply:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy
• We may change subscription fees with at least 30 days' notice

9. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party libraries and CDNs, including FFmpeg (WebAssembly version) and Google Analytics. These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
